Children's Books - Free Book Summaries and Book Report Ideas
Can you define Children's Books?
Can you find a clear definition to the term Children's Books? Many have tries, many have failed, in my view. It's very difficult - if not impossible - to categorize a book to be for children only, or even mainly.
I read books, no matter the category. If I think it could be suitable for children too, I will probably put it here, under this category, but it doesn't say much about the book.
What is a Book Summary Good For?
This is where the free book summary comes in. If you're not certain that a book is suitable for a child, read the book summary first, then decide.

What do I recommend? My first recommendation for a young reader would be Hatchet, Charlotte’s Web, and The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe - see book summaries below.
Charlotte’s Web is widely considered a true humanistic children’s classic. E.B. White’s story is set in a Midwest country farm in the first half of the twentieth century. Meet Fern Arable, an imaginative, conscientious eight-year-old farm girl, Wilbur, a small loveable pig, Charlotte, a large, intellectual, congenial spider, and Templeton, a gluttonous, lazy yet clever rat. You’re sure to fall in love.
The survival adventures of 13-years-old Brian Robeson in Hatchet have sparked the imagination of millions of young readers. Following a plane crash, Brian was stranded alone in the Canadian wilderness with nothing but a small hatchet and painful memories of his parents’ recent breakup. Facing hunger, wild animals and harsh weather, Brian acquires inspiring survival techniques and on the same time develops as a human being.
The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe is first book of the legendary series by C.S. Lewis – The Chronicles of Narnia. The adventures of young Lucy, her brave brother Peter, and their siblings Edmund and Susan have captured the imagination of generations and became a classic children’s fantasy. It seems as if no childhood is complete without meeting Narnia’s majestic ruler, the lion Aslan, and his evil rival the White Witch, who has cast an evil spell on Narnia. Are you ready to go into the wardrobe?
